The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dawda A. Jallow, has apologised to the Parliamentarians after failing to appear before them on 8th February 2022.

“My absence from the Parliament was unintentional. It is never my intention for not appearing before you all. So I am so sorry for my failure to appear before you on the 8th of February 2022,” Attorney General apologised.

The Assembly was compelled to adjourn its sessions on Tuesday due to the absence of the Attorney General who was reported out of the jurisdiction.

Consequently, the Assembly Business Committee considered the written-off from the current agenda of the First Ordinary Session, 2022 on all the pending businesses of the Hon Attorney General dealing with Bill as a sanction in the Assembly’s own right.

The Attorney General made the formal apology earlier today (14th February 2022) before the National Assembly Members.
