The Attorney General on behalf of the State has charged five (5) staff of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) with 39 counts of corruption, abuse of office and other charges.
The five staff of SSHFC that are charged with corruption and other counts are Amie Sarr, 1st accused person, Modou K. Sarr, 2nd accused person, Caroline Siga Sarr, 3rd accused person, Andrew Demba, 4th accused person and Alaji Fatty, 5th accused person.
Count 1, Statement of Offence: Conspiracy to commit felony contrary to section 368 of the Criminal Code CAP 10:01 Vol. 3 Laws of The Gambia 2009.
Particulars of Offence the prosecutors alleged that; Amie Sarr sometime between the year 2000 and 2019, at Banjul and other diverse places in the Republic of The Gambia and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, conspired with one Meta Ceesay (now at large) to commit a felony to wit: as employees of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation did obtain the sum of D55,000.00 (Fifty-Five Thousand Dalasis) as commission from one Alieu Camara a customer of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation in respect of land transactions which were not approved by the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation and thereby committed an offence.

Particulars of Offence the prosecutors alleged that; Amie Sarr sometime between the year 2000 and 2019, at Banjul and other diverse places in the Republic of The Gambia and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court did conspire with one Meta Ceesay (now at large) to commit a felony to wit: as employees of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation did obtain the sum of D440,000.00 (Four Hundred and forty Thousand Dalasis) as commission from one Alieu Camara in respect of land transactions between one Lamin Demba, Haddy Manka, Ismaila Dampha, Nuha Manneh, Bakary Bajo, Yiddi Bah, Assan K. Joof, Fatou M. Sonko, Abdoulie Sonko, Yusupha Bah, Modou Bah and Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation which were not approved by the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation and thereby committed an offence.

Mbaye through Aji Anta Drammeh which was not approved by the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation and thereby committed an offence.

Particulars Offence the prosecutors alleged that; Amie Sarr, Alajie Fatty and Meta Ceesay (now at large) sometime between the year 2000 and 2019, at Banjul and other diverse places in the Republic of The Gambia and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court did conspire amongst yourselves to commit a felony to wit: as employees of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation did obtain the sum of D815,000.00 (Eight Hundred and FifteenThousand Dalasis) as commission from one Landing Sanneh, Sambujang Marreh, Tuti Secka, Amadou Kebbeh, Amie Janha, Mustapha Dukareh and Bakary Sonko customers of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation in respect of land transactions which were not approved by the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation and thereby committed an offence.
