NUP Spends Over D4 Million From 2021 to 2022

The National Unity Party (NUP) has spent over D4 million from the years 2021 to 2022.
The National Unity Party was formally registered by the IEC in October 2020 as a fully-fledged political party in The Gambia.
The NUP contested the 2021 Presidential election barely a year after its registration by the IEC.
Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh was selected by the Party as the Standard bearer in the 2021 Presidential election.
The NUP held its National Congress on the 31st of December 2022 at a Local Hotel in Senegambia as a fulfillment of the IEC requirements.
During the Congress, the party announced that it has spent D4,424,629.00 from the 1st of January 2021 to the 31st of December 2021.
This amount is D83,961.00 more than the new party’s total income for the year 2021 which is D4,340,668.00.
The Party further announced that it has spent D545,287.00 from 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022.
This amount like the year 2021 is D30,487.00 more than the party’s total income for the year 2022 which is D514,800.00.
The expenditure of the National Unity Party (NUP) from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2022 is D4,969,916.
