After a peaceful and successful observance of the Holy month of Ramadan, today, The Gambia joined the rest of the Muslim World to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr marking the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), on behalf of the Party Leader, wishes all Gambians including those in the diaspora a happy and joyous Eid Al-Fitr celebration; I pray to Allah Subhana watala to accept our individual and collective prayers. The Gambia is a peaceful nation, therefore I implore on all Gambians to be more peace-loving and forgive each other for national unity.
The GDC takes this opportunity to reiterate the party’s resoluteness to invest all the resources at its disposal to uplift Gambians out of poverty to economic prosperity. The party will continue to hold government accountable in the course of national development.
The GDC further call on all political, religious and traditional leaders to preach peace, embrace each other and let dialogue be our chosen method to settle our differences in the interest of the nation.
The GDC once again wishes all Gambians at home and abroad and by extension to all Muslims around the world a peaceful and joyous Eid Al-Fitr celebration.
