An Inferno had ravaged a full compound in Dobang Kunda village in the Upper Fulladou West District, according to an eyewitness who spoke to Kerr on Saturday.
“Yesterday (Friday) at 15::00pm there was a fire disaster in the compound called Kanyi Kunda in our village; shortly after the fire started I called the Bansang Fire & Rescue Service. I explained the matter to them and they told me to call in the next one minute, after giving them details of my name and the place I live in. I gave them five minutes and I called them again. They started telling me that their vehicle got problem. Can you imagine, how can that be possible? That’s the time the youth of Dobang Kunda started to join hands to put out the fire with the help of the women who used their buckets with water,” one Jaliba Jobarteh, an eyewitness to Kerr Fatou on Saturday morning.
The fire is reported to have burnt household materials in the compound, among other things.
