While urging President Adama Barrow to allow citizens to practice their constitutional rights, the United Democratic Party Leader, Lawyer Ousainu Darbo, also advised the IGP Abdoulie Sanyang not to be allowed to be used by anyone.

“I will advise President Barrow and the IGP to apply the law equally when two people have a problem. Do not favour anyone. Let’s not allow our followers to insult elders. I always speak out whenever I hear insults in UDP. Someone spoke against the Chief Justice and he was arrested, the next day. If a child talks bad about Amadou Sanneh, and is your follower, keeping quiet is not doing good to the situation.

“We all know the agenda 2016, restoration of democracy and that should not be only by mouth; but it should be practice in reality. Inspector General of Police and President Adama Barrow, if people want to exercise their constitutional rights, allow them to do so. To the IGP, you have seen what happened to Kinteh (former IGP), don’t allow that to happen to you. Don’t allow anyone to use you. Don’t allow anything that will happen in the country that would force you to resign,” the UDP leader said.

The United Democratic Party (UDP) leader, Lawyer Ousainu Darbo made these remarks at a meeting on Saturday in Wellingara in the West Coast Region.
