The Gambian RFC Seraing forward, Ablie Jallow, scored a late winner as the scorpions stung another Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2021.
Jallow scored in the 93rd minute of the game after receiving a fine pass from Musa Barrow, to secure all three (3) points for the Scorpions against the Carthage Eagles.
Both teams created goal-scoring chances in either half of the game. But only Ablie Jallow’s late screamer found the back of the net.
Tunisia were awarded a penalty in the stoppage time of the first half after Gambians Captain Pa Modou Jagne brought down Seifeddine Jaziri in the box.
Jaziri stepped up for Tunisia, but the Gambian goalkeeper Baboucarr Gaye who was later crowned man of the match for his extraordinary performance saved his effort.
Earlier on, the Gambian Bologna forward Musa Barrow hit the crossbar in the 72nd minute of the game from a free kick.
Both teams have qualified to the knockout stage. The Scorpions will play against Guinea Conakry on 24th January, while Carthage Eagles will take on Nigeria 23rd January, respectively.
