Trust Bank on Wednesday delivered medical and essential supplies valued at D250,000 to Farafenni General Hospital, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to the country’s healthcare sector.

The donation, part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility program, included medical consumables, office materials, electronic equipment, detergents, and other items essential to the hospital’s daily operations. Trust Bank officials said the contribution is intended to strengthen service delivery and ease the workload of staff caring for patients, particularly mothers and children.

Speaking on behalf of Trust Bank’s Managing Director, Alex Gomez, the Head of Marketing and Business Development highlighted the institution’s focus on targeted, impactful support.

“This year, Trust Bank is pleased to contribute D250,000 to further strengthen the services offered by Farafenni General Hospital. As in previous years, we have engaged directly with the hospital management to understand your specific needs,” he said.

He added, “Based on your requested list, we are confident that this donation will help provide essential resources to improve the care provided to expectant mothers and newborns. We understand the importance of having the right tools and equipment to deliver the best care possible, and we are committed to ensuring that our support is both targeted and impactful,” he said.

Mr. Gomez noted that over the past two decades, the bank’s partnership with the hospital has had a measurable impact on both the facility and the wider community.

“We firmly believe that sustained collaboration between our bank and the healthcare institutions we support can lead to meaningful change and progress. Trust Bank is committed to continuing our support of Farafenni General Hospital for many years to come, and we are excited about the future possibilities of our partnership,” he added.

Dr. Kebba Manneh, the hospital’s chief executive officer, expressed gratitude for the donation and the bank’s continued support of the facility and the broader healthcare sector.
