The Brikama Area Council (BAC) has announced that it will distribute 650 bags [25kg] of rice to the Internally Displaced Persons in Foni.

The distribution is scheduled to take place on 7th April 2022.
“Following the Senegalise Military operation in the Cassamance which has resulted in a massive internal displacement of people living around the border and interior of Foni. The Council will distribute 650 bags of 25kg rice to the affected population in the 5 Districts of Foni,” BAC said in a statement sent to Kerr Fatou.
The move by the council is as a result of the mass displacement of families in Foni and surroundings caused by the recent clash in Casamance between the MFDC and the Senegalese military.
