Touma Njie denies bribery allegations: “I do not bribe, and I do not condone bribery “

Hon. Fatoumatta Touma Njie has denied the allegation by Kebba E. Jallow that she induced delegates to vote for her at the party’s congress in Brikamaba last Saturday.

Jallow, the newly elected PPP leader who defeated Njie at the election for the Secretary General and Party Leader position alleged that Njie induced ineligible delegates in return for votes during the congress. But Touma emphatically denied the inducement allegation, saying she is a person integrity.

“My person speaks for itself. I am a person of integrity. I don’t compromise my integrity, I do not bribe and I do not condone bribery. I am known for that, and that is why I think I walked out,” Touma Njie said.

Hon. Fatoumatta Touma Njie, is the National Assembly Member for Banjul South under PPP ticket. She contested the position of Secretary General and Party Leader at PPP’s congress, but she lost to Kebba E. Jallow. According to the congress record, she got 2 votes, while Kebba E. Jallow got 92 votes.
