The National Assembly (NA) of the Gambia began its committee meetings on Monday, October 9th, 2023.
During this period, committees typically invite institutions and sectors to meet with them, receive reports detailing their activities and financial statements, and conduct field visits to gather firsthand information and assess their performance and challenges in relation to their mandates.
The committees will discuss the matters on the agenda and recommend draft resolutions, reports, and decisions to the Assembly for consideration and adoption.
According to the National Assembly’s consolidated work plan for committees, the committee meetings will continue until November 2, 2023.
