Hamat Bah reelected as NRP leader


Hamat Bah, the leader of the National Reconciliation Party, has gone unchallenged at the party’s recent congress concluded in Jarra Soma on Sunday.

Bah, a founder leader of NRP, has led the party since its formation in 1996.

Almost all the other positions available for contest had gone unchallenged including the position of Musa Sonko, the deputy party leader.

The minority leader of the National Assembly, Samba Jallow, got elected as the campaign manager of the party replacing Dullo Bah.

Among other positions elected were Pateh Baldeh as communication officer and Isa Hakuru Sillah as representative of the party in Europe.

“This is one of the most successful congresses we ever have heard,” Samba Jallow told Kerr Fatou.

The party is to hold an extra-ordinary congress within ninety days to review the party’s laws and also review their various positions.
