Government Settles D5.1 Million Property Rate Payment to BCC

The Government of The Gambia has paid D5,151,438.14 to the Banjul City Council (BCC) as its 2025 property rate settlement for government-owned buildings in the capital.

The Council confirmed receipt of the payment on Thursday, September 18, 2025, and expressed appreciation to the government for honoring its obligation.

“This payment strengthens the council’s ability to deliver essential services, maintain public facilities, and continue development initiatives across the city,” the BCC said in a statement.

The Council further reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and service delivery for the residents of Banjul.
