Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, Minister of Information, has urged Gambians to re-elect President Adama Barrow in the 2026 presidential election, arguing that the opposition lacks the vision and unity necessary to lead the country forward.

“The best that the Gambians can do is to give him (President Adama Barrow) another mandate to continue this very massive, transformative development he has started,” Dr. Ceesay stated. “And the opposition, look, they are in this arena. They are not united, and i don’t see them as an alternative to His Excellency the President, none of these (oppositions) have the vision to transform this country. So they cannot,” he asserted.

He pointed to infrastructure developments in rural areas as a testament to Barrow’s leadership.

“The President is working. Do you think the people in Basse, In CRR, who never had electricity, water, or roads before, and now they have it will give it (votes) to people who have no proven track records of even developing a shop?” he asked.

Dr. Ceesay emphasized that President Barrow is making tangible progress and called on citizens to support continuity in leadership to maintain national development momentum.
