According to a statement issued by the council, proceedings opened with the review and adoption of minutes from the previous meeting, a step officials described as part of the council’s commitment to institutional continuity and sound governance.

Members further discussed plans for the inauguration of the Crab Island Sustainable Development Center, with a proposal to align the event with a Grand Religious Conference and Iftar to broaden community participation.

On environmental regulation, deliberations focused on proposed anti-littering and building rubble bylaws. The council recommended that relevant committees harmonize their input, refine the draft framework, and convene consultations with key stakeholders prior to implementation.

Council officials described the meeting as marked by constructive engagement and a shared commitment to strengthening local governance and promoting environmental responsibility. The council reaffirmed its pledge to service delivery, accountability, and sustainable urban development.
