The Mayor of Kanifing Municipality (KM), Talib Ahmed Bensouda on Sunday conducted a dialogue with the youth of the Municipality.
The Youth Councillor Kemo Bojang and the President of KMYC Isatou Secka organized the dialogue according to the Mayor.
Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda has said that the dialogue has nothing to do with the 2023 Local Government elections approaching.
“So today is about what you want. What do you want to see your council do in terms of youth programmes and initiatives, come 2023? This program was initiated by Kemo Bojang, youth Councillor and Isatou Secka the President of KMYC that they want to make sure next year’s budget is not just them sitting down and thinking what do you want. They want it to be participatory. So I assure you it has nothing to do with elections,” the mayor said.
Talib Ahmed Bensouda the current Mayor of Kanifing Municipality voted under the United Democratic Party ticket in the 2018 Local Government elections.
