President Adama Barrow on Friday reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting young Gambian entrepreneurs and locally owned businesses, describing them as essential partners in the nation’s economic development.
Speaking at a dialogue with emerging business leaders at the State House, President Barrow urged the youth to “remain patient, resilient, and disciplined,” noting that they represent the future leadership and economic drivers of the country.
The gathering included members of The Builders Association, a nonpartisan platform of young entrepreneurs focused on translating national development objectives into concrete economic outcomes. During the meeting, the group emphasized the role of Public-Private Partnerships in promoting growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic transformation.
The entrepreneurs appealed for government assistance in addressing key challenges faced by the private sector, including access to capital, land, labor, and markets. They also expressed gratitude to President Barrow for fostering a supportive business environment conducive to entrepreneurship.
“The Builders Association remains committed to advancing initiatives that contribute to The Gambia’s economic prosperity,” the group said, highlighting its continued focus on national development.
