Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect in Alleged Rape of 12-Year-Old Girl in Sare Gillah

The Gambia Police Force is actively investigating the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in Sare Gillah village, Toumana District, which reportedly occurred on August 14, 2025. The young victim is currently receiving medical attention at the Basse Health Centre.
Authorities have identified a suspect, Mamadou Salieu Dambale, a farmer in his 30s from the same village. According to a flash report from the police, the suspect is currently at large. The police force has initiated a search and remains committed to apprehending him.
