Police Investigate Kush-Related Death of 19-Year-Old in Brikama

The Gambia Police Force (GPF) has launched an investigation into the death of 19-year-old Dawda Ceesay of Brikama Manduar, who reportedly died after consuming the dangerous substance known as Kush.
According to police sources, Ceesay was rushed to Brikama District Hospital after allegedly taking the drug but was later pronounced dead.
“Police visited the hospital, where the body is currently kept at the mortuary for possible postmortem,” the GPF statement reads.
In a public advisory, the police issued a stern warning against the use of Kush and similar harmful substances, stressing that they pose severe risks to health and life, particularly among young people.
