Today, a group of us African Journalists had the opportunity to explore the Museum of the Communist Party of China, immersing themselves in a journey through the pivotal moments that have shaped the nation’s history over the past century.
The museum serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as the vanguard of the Chinese working class, people, and nation. It highlights the Party’s steadfast commitment to its original aspiration of seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation through the principles of communism and socialism.
Founded a hundred years ago amidst societal upheavals and foreign aggression, the CPC emerged as a beacon of hope, guiding the Chinese people through various milestones, from the new-democratic revolution to socialist construction and modernization. Rooted in Marxism-Leninism and the workers’ movement, the Party has remained true to its founding mission, leading the nation towards national independence, prosperity, and happiness.
The exhibition at the museum, titled “Remaining True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Founding Mission Firmly in Mind,” offers a comprehensive overview of the CPC’s extraordinary journey. It showcases the Party’s unwavering commitment, fearless sacrifice, and relentless pursuit of progress, highlighting the monumental achievements attained through struggle, theoretical exploration, and people-centered initiatives.
Moreover, the exhibition underscores the hard-won nature of China’s Red political power, the establishment of the People’s Republic, and the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It aims to inspire officials and the public alike to embark on a new journey with confidence and determination, aiming to build China into a modern socialist country in all aspects.
As we reflect on the remarkable achievements of the Communist Party of China over the past century, we gain a deeper understanding of its pivotal role in shaping the destiny of the Chinese nation and its people.
The museum stands as a tribute to the Party’s resilience, vision, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of society, inspiring future generations to carry forward its noble mission with zeal and dedication.
