Gambia Confirms 4 New Covid-19 Cases; Senegal gets 74

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 4 new laboratory cases of Covid-19 during their daily briefing session yesterday.
The total number of cases in the Gambia now stands at 34, out of which has recorded one death so far.
According to the release from the Ministry, all the four new cases were confirmed from persons who were quarantined on the account of their recent travel from an affected country.
“Thirty-three laboratory tests were received from the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL); (32 new and 1 repeat tests). Of these, while 28 returned negative, 4 tested positive for Covid-19 and the only repeat test came out inconclusive”the Ministry stated.
Meanwhile, the Senegalese Ministry of Health today reported 74 positive cases, bringing the total Covid-19 cases to 5,247; 70 deaths, 3525 recoveries and 1651 under treatment.
