Five Individuals to Be Sentenced for Drifting in Brusubi Magistrates’ Court

The Brusubi Magistrates Court is scheduled to sentence five individuals—Momodou Martin Sanyang, Sering Mass Gaye, Muhammed Bah, Ismaila Faal, and Samba Ceesay—on Wednesday, August 20, following their admission of guilt to multiple traffic-related offenses.

The accused were charged with dangerous driving, unlicensed driving, and the unauthorized use of tinted glass. Authorities reported that on August 10, 2025, the five drove recklessly as part of a convoy of more than thirty vehicles along the Sukuta–Jabang Highway.

According to the police, their actions not only endangered public safety but also led to confrontations with residents of Jabang village, resulting in damage to several vehicles.

The Anti-Crime Unit responded promptly, apprehending the individuals and impounding their vehicles. The accused were subsequently arraigned in court, where they pleaded guilty to all charges.
