“We will work with the National Disaster Management Agency responsible for disasters so that we would see how best we can support these victims by making sure that some of their rooftops that are off, we can buy corrugated-iron sheets for them,” Modou Lamin B. Bah, Public Relations Office at the Banjul City Council told Kerr Fatou.
He also expressed that the council noticed the incident with ‘great concern’ and is in solidarity with Banjulians affected by the disaster last night.
However, PRO Bah could not establish the number of victims in the city at the time of publication.
