Ebrima Dibba, former Deputy Organizing Secretary of the United Democratic Party and now a member of the newly established Unite Movement for Change (UMC), has called on Gambians to join the movement in its pursuit of a better Gambia.
Speaking on the vision of the youth-led initiative, Dibba emphasized the commitment and dedication that underpin their efforts. “Being a youth comes with responsibility, commitment, dedication, and hard work,” he stated.
He further stressed the movement’s seriousness about governance and building public trust. “We want the country to have faith and confidence in us, as we are committed to serving the nation and its people,” Dibba said.
Highlighting the leadership of Mayor Talib Ahmed, Dibba described him as a visionary with innovative ideas for national governance. “Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda understands the issues facing our country and has a clear vision for its development,” he added.
Dibba noted that the movement aims to tackle challenges affecting Gambian youth and to promote national growth and development. He emphasized that these goals require respect, integrity, hard work, and transparency.
Concluding his appeal, Dibba invited all Gambians, irrespective of age, gender, tribe, or social status, to join the movement. “We call on everyone to come together in our mission to advance The Gambia. Change is possible, and we can achieve it. Join the Unite Movement for Change and be part of this journey,” he urged.
