DLEAG Arrests 40-Year-Old with Over 2,000 Ecstasy Pills in Kololi

The Drug Law Enforcement Agency, The Gambia (DLEAG), has arrested Musa Krubally, a 40-year-old Gambian national, after he was allegedly found in possession of 2,160 Ecstasy pills in Kololi on Friday, September 27, 2025.
Authorities confirmed that Krubally, a resident of Sanchaba Sulay Jobe, is currently in custody as investigations continue.
The arrest forms part of a broader crackdown on narcotics in the country. Between September 19 and 26, 2025, DLEAG registered 11 drug-related cases involving 12 adult males. Of those arrested, ten are Gambian nationals, while one Senegalese national was apprehended at the Barra ferry terminal with crystal methamphetamine.
During the same reporting period, DLEAG disclosed that it intercepted a wide range of illicit substances, including:
- Cannabis sativa: 1 bundle, 56 parcels, 172 wraps
- Cannabis resin (hashish): 35 pieces
- Skunk cannabis: 1 parcel, 11 small plastic bags, 9 wraps, and 65 pieces
- Kush: 2 small plastics and additional loose quantities
- Ecstasy: 49 tablets (excluding the 2,160 pills seized from Krubally)
- Cocaine: 4 wraps
- Crystal meth: 2 small plastic bags
In a statement, DLEAG reaffirmed its commitment to fighting drug trafficking and abuse, emphasizing that such operations are crucial to safeguarding communities and protecting public health.
