Under the plan, she revealed, all health facilities in the country would be manned by at least more than one personnel.

She praised health workers as compassionate, hardworking and promised that they would no more be forgotten under her watch.

The Health Minister further stated that health care constitutes 40% of projects under the National Development Plan (NDP) 2018-2021 while indicating the value that the Barrow government attaches to the wellbeing of Gambians.

She told cheering crowds in Njaaba Kunda and Kerewan that the President has fully empowered her and vowed to support her in the drive to transform healthcare landscape.

On his part, the President reiterated the mantra of national reconciliation and unity and social cohesion. He stressed that politics of rhetoric should be long gone with the end of the electoral circle after the Mayoral election.
