Global Properties officially inaugurated The Global Tower, now recognized as the tallest commercial building in The Gambia and the company’s new headquarters, during a landmark ceremony presided over by President Adama Barrow on June 10, 2026.

The high-profile event drew a distinguished audience, including cabinet ministers, business leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs, marking a significant milestone in the country’s real estate and commercial development sector.

Rising 10 storeys, The Global Tower is a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to promote productivity, collaboration, and business growth. The development represents a major achievement for Global Properties and stands as a symbol of ambition, innovation, and long-term investment in The Gambia’s economic future.

In his keynote address, President Barrow congratulated the company, describing the project as a powerful reflection of what Gambians can achieve through vision, determination, and commitment to excellence. He noted that Global Properties’ success highlights the potential of local entrepreneurship when guided by discipline, integrity, and dedication to national development.

The President reaffirmed his government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, emphasizing the importance of innovation and private sector growth.

“The opening ceremony of this magnificent headquarters illustrates the company’s physical transition from one of tenancy to proprietorship. Global Properties’ rise to success exposes the hidden talent and reaffirms the unshakable determination of Gambians who believe in infrastructure development not just for themselves but for generations to come,” he stated.

President Barrow also commended the leadership of the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Saul Frazer, describing him as a visionary whose contributions over nearly two decades have significantly impacted national development.

In his remarks, Mr. Frazer reflected on the company’s humble beginnings, noting that its growth was built on perseverance rather than comfort. He recalled that Global Properties was founded on a simple promise—to make property ownership accessible, with flexible payment options starting from as little as D5,000 per month.

According to him, this model has helped restore hope and create opportunities for many families to own property. He emphasized that the company’s reputation has been built on trust, reinforced through every transaction and successful project delivery.

Mr. Frazer described the inauguration as more than the unveiling of a building, calling it a celebration of a journey, a growing nation, and a vision that continues to evolve. He added that the milestone marks the beginning of further expansion, innovation, and transformation, particularly with continued government support.

He also highlighted the company’s efforts to redefine tourism through real estate by offering hotel-style property management, 24-hour services, and investment opportunities aimed at wealth creation.

“We expanded from lands to affordable homes, from strategic units to apartments; we crossed borders to Senegal and Ghana, but no matter where we went, The Gambia remains our heartbeat, home and purpose,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Momodou Senghore identified the lack of a robust and sustainable mortgage financing system as a major constraint to expanding homeownership in the country. He noted that Global Properties has taken steps to address this gap through its Mortgage House initiative and urged the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs to prioritize the development of a national mortgage framework.

Awa Ndure, the company’s longest-serving staff member, expressed pride in the organization’s achievements, describing the milestone as both professionally and personally meaningful. She highlighted the resilience and commitment that have defined the company’s journey and affirmed that Global Properties has remained dedicated to its workforce throughout its growth.

Founded in 2007, Global Properties is a Gambian real estate developer and agency operating in The Gambia, Senegal, and Ghana. The company specializes in affordable housing, land sales, and property management, offering services including free property valuation, buy-to-let advisory, and comprehensive property management solutions.
