Government Delivers Six Patrol Vehicles to Gambia Immigration Department to Strengthen Border Operations

The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has taken delivery of six new patrol vehicles from the government in a move aimed at bolstering the capacity of its border patrol unit.

The handover ceremony took place at the Immigration Department’s headquarters in Banjul, where the vehicles were formally presented to Director General Ebrima Mboob and his command.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director General Mboob commended the government for its support and the timeliness of the intervention. He highlighted the operational significance of the vehicles for border patrol and migration management and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to contributing to national security through effective border control.

Mboob also pledged that the vehicles would be put to their intended use and indicated that the department would explore avenues for ongoing collaboration with TK Motors to ensure their proper maintenance.

Ebrima Koroma, Operations Manager at TK Motors, presented the vehicles on behalf of his company. He expressed gratitude to the government for the confidence placed in TK Motors, vouched for the quality of the vehicles procured, and assured the GID of his company’s readiness to provide maintenance support going forward.
