The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has announced that it has received government approval to deploy a Mobile Biometric Passport Enrolment Team to the Kingdom of Spain from March 23 to April 4, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the department, the initiative forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible documentation services to Gambians abroad. The mission also aligns with Spain’s amnesty programme aimed at regularizing the status of approximately 500,000 undocumented migrants.

The GID stated that, as with previous outreach missions, applicants are required to make a non-refundable payment of 120 euros. After completing the payment, applicants must present their payment receipts at designated enrolment centres for processing.

“As in previous missions, interested applicants are urged to make a non-refundable payment of 120 euros. Upon completion of payment, applicants are urged to visit any of the specified enrollment centers with their payment receipts for processing,” the GID stated.

For first-time applicants, the department requires submission of relevant supporting documents, including birth certificates or national identity cards, as well as parents’ supporting documents (PSD). Applicants seeking passport renewal are required to present a copy of their expired passport.

The department further assured Gambians that all applications will be subjected to thorough verification and documentation procedures in accordance with immigration laws and regulations, in order to safeguard the integrity and security of national documents.
