Police Confirms Fire Incident Claimed 5 At Boarding School

The police spokesperson Lamin Njie has confirmed to Kerr Fatou that a fire incident at Bilal Boarding School claimed 5 students.
“We can confirm a fire incident at the Bilal Boarding School situated at Yundum in the West Coast Region. The incident occurred today Sunday 17th October 2021 at the early hours of the morning.

“Five students have been confirmed dead, while seven others are hospitalized in critical conditions.
“An Investigation panel has been formed to probe into the matter and establish the cause of the fire as well as gather relevant evidence,” Njie said.
He added that the public would be duly informed about developments on the matter.
