The Bundung Police Department has arrested Lamarana Barry, also known as “General Barry,” in connection with a motorbike accident that claimed the life of Tairu Barry on June 20, 2025.
Police confirmed that the 32-year-old suspect, a resident of Bundung Bantaba, is currently in custody at Bundung Police Station and is cooperating with investigators to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
“The police reaffirm their commitment to bringing all perpetrators to justice and ensuring accountability in this case,” the authorities stated.
On June 24, police announced that their preliminary investigation suggested the victim had fallen from a moving motorcycle, sustaining fatal injuries before being pronounced dead at the hospital. At the time, investigators identified Lamarana Barry as the rider of the motorcycle and reported that he was on the run.
Following a public tip-off, officers tracked down and arrested Barry, who is now under active investigation.
