Governor, Lawmakers Call for Unity, Reaffirm Support for President Barrow

The Governor of the Central River Region, Ousman Bah, and members of the National Assembly have called for unity and renewed support for President Adama Barrow, citing what they described as significant development gains under his administration.
Speaking at a National Reconciliation Party (NRP) rally held in Lumen on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Governor Bah commended President Barrow’s government for the progress recorded in Sabach Sanjal across various sectors. He described the developments as worthy of gratitude, noting that they have positively impacted local communities.
Governor Bah highlighted several initiatives undertaken in Lumen, including the construction of a school, the fencing of a women’s garden, and the installation of a local water pump. He praised the cultural heritage of the village, saying that each visit to Lumen fills him with pride and joy.
“We have all benefited under President Barrow’s government,” Governor Bah said, urging residents to remain united and continue supporting the administration. He emphasized the importance of solidarity, reminding the gathering of the transient nature of human life and the need to work together for lasting progress.
Echoing these sentiments, the National Assembly Member for Sabach Sanjal, Hon. Alhaji Babou Ceesay, expressed satisfaction with the development projects implemented under President Barrow’s leadership. He said the people of Sabach Sanjal are pleased with the progress made and are keen to see such initiatives extended nationwide.
“We have seen the development you have brought here, and we are ready to support you so that the country can continue moving forward,” Hon. Ceesay stated, encouraging constituents to back President Barrow’s development agenda.
Also addressing the rally, Hon. Samba Jallow, National Assembly Member for Niamina Dankunku and a prominent figure within the NRP, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to President Barrow and his government. He described the party as operating with integrity and pledged that it would not disappoint the President.
Hon. Jallow further called on the people of Sabach Sanjal to remain united and avoid division, while pointing to ongoing development projects in the constituency as evidence of the government’s commitment to improving livelihoods.
