The Brikama Area Council (BAC) has announced a substantial increase in its revenue for the 2025 fiscal year, recording a total of D244 million, up from D155 million in 2024.

The announcement was made on Monday, January 25, 2026, by BAC Chairman Yankuba Darboe through a post on his official Facebook page. According to Chairman Darboe, the latest figure represents an increase of nearly D90 million compared to the previous year’s revenue performance.

Expressing appreciation to residents of the West Coast Region (WCR), Chairman Darboe attributed the improved revenue outturn to their continued cooperation and support.

“Brikama Area Council received a total revenue of D244 million in 2025,” he stated, highlighting the significant growth achieved within a year.

Looking ahead, the Council has set an ambitious revenue target of D300 million for 2026. Chairman Darboe called on residents to sustain their support as the Council works toward meeting its new financial goal.

“We thank our people of WCR for their support and count on the same for 2026,” he added.
