Modou Ceesay, Chairman of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in Fajikunda and Deputy Chairman for the 3rd Constituency, has resigned from the party along with four other executive members.

In a joint resignation letter submitted to the UDP leadership, the group announced their collective and immediate withdrawal from both the party’s membership and their respective executive roles, effective October 8, 2025.
“Thank you for the time we have spent in service to the UDP,” the letter stated.
The other signatories to the resignation are Bintou Camara, Chairwoman of Latrikunda Ward and Deputy Constituency Chairwoman; Ebrima Touray, Constituency Coordinator; Bakary Keita, Constituency Auditor; and Marang Jatta, Women Mobilizer.
