Health ministry to conduct mass Covid -19 testing in Bakau

After the confirmation of the newly reported cases of coronavirus in Bakau, the Ministry of Health is preparing to conduct a mass sample collection exercise in the community of Bakau.

According to the Ministry, the mass sample collection exercise will be held tomorrow (Sunday) 3rd May 2020 at the Bakau Community Center from 9am.

“All residents of Bakau are encouraged to grab this opportunity so as to keep safe and protect themselves, their families and others from COVID-19. Together, we can win this battle,”
ministry started on its official Facebook page.

The Director of Health Promotion and Education, Modou Njai said in an interview with Kerr Fatou that they will be needing the support of the general public especially the inhabitants of Bakau area.

Meanwhile, the Health ministry’s Risk Communication Team in partnership with National Youth Council’s Bakau youth Wing are currently embarking on community engagement exercise in Bakau ahead of a planned mass COVID-19 sample collection exercise in the locality.
