President Adama Barrow has pledged to construct multi-level road systems if re-elected in the December 5th presidential election.
The president made the promise on Monday, February 9, 2026, while speaking at the official launch of an electricity access project in Ja Kunda, Upper River Region (URR). He told residents that plans for the proposed road infrastructure have already been developed and reviewed.
“I am promising you, if you vote for me in 2026. You know I have already constructed flyovers, but I will go further to build roads where one runs at ground level, another above it, and yet another on top,” President Barrow said, drawing applause from the crowd.
He attributed his political success to divine blessing, stating that no one can hinder whom Allah has favored. The president expressed satisfaction with the progress made under his administration, saying development projects are materializing and campaign promises are being fulfilled.
“As human beings, fulfilling promises makes you honorable. Once you make a promise, you must stand by it,” he said, adding that commitments made during the 2021 election cycle are now being delivered.
President Barrow further noted that current developments represent only the early stages of his administration’s plans, emphasizing that larger projects are still underway.
