GRA Awards Standard Newspaper, Kerr Fatou & West Coast Radio

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), at its 5th Taxpayers’ award night, recognised and awarded, the Standard Newspaper, Kerr Fatou, and West Coast Radio as the most tax-compliant media houses in the country. 

The award night, the 5th in its installment is meant to recognize the country’s most regular taxpaying institutions and individuals. 

In the Media category, the Standard Newspaper was awarded the most tax-compliant media house in the country in the year 2022. Followed by Kerr Fatou in the second position and West Coast Radio in the third position.

In other categories, the National Water and Electrical Company (NAWEC) was awarded the most tax-compliant State Owned Enterprise (SOEs) in the year 2022. 

Eco Bank Gambia Limited was awarded the large taxpayer of the year 2022. 

Prima Bet Company Limited was awarded the 2022 medium taxpayer of the year. 

Mamud Touray was awarded the 2022 small taxpayer of the year. 

Jarriatou Bah was awarded the 2022 informal sector taxpayer of the year. 

Qcell company one of the leading GSM operators in the Gambia was awarded the 2022 GSM taxpayer of the year. 

Eco Bank Gambia Limited received its second award for the night after being named the 2022 taxpayer Bank of the year. 

IGI Gamstar Insurance Company Limited was named the 2022 insurance company taxpayer of the year. 

J Financial Services Limited was awarded the 2022 Foreign Exchange Bureau taxpayer of the year. 

GRA awarded Reliance Financial Services Limited as the 2022 microfinance taxpayer of the year. 

The Revenue Authority also awarded Senegambia Beach Hotel as the 2022 Hotel taxpayer of the year. 

SHYBEN A Madi and Son Limited was awarded the 2022 importer taxpayer of the year. 

Fouta Enterprise Limited was named the 2022 basic food importer taxpayer of the year. 

Nessim Trading Company Limited was awarded, the 2022 manufacturer taxpayer of the year. 

The agro-industry taxpayer of the year 2022 was given to Mak Food Company Limited. 

JAH Oil Company Limited was awarded the 2022 Oil Marketing Company taxpayer of the year. 

Kombo Veterinary Services was awarded the 2022 Health Care taxpayer of the year. 

Swami India International Company Limited was awarded the 2022 construction company taxpayer of the year. 

Unique Solution Limited was awarded the 2022 ICT taxpayer of the year. 

Right Choice Supermarket was named the 2022 supermarket taxpayer of the year. 

CFY Partners was awarded the 2022 Audit/ Accounting firm taxpayer of the year. 

Alhaji Modou Musa Njie was awarded the 2022 rental income taxpayer of the year. 

The Accountant General Department was awarded the 2022 PAYE taxpayer of the year. 

Africell Gambia Limited was named the 2022 domestic VAT taxpayer of the year. 

MS Service SARL was awarded the 2022 import VAT taxpayer of the year. 

Omar Sanyang was named the 2022 Regional taxpayer of the year for the West Coast Region (WCR). 

J and B Trading Company Limited was awarded the 2022 Regional taxpayer of the year for the North Bank Region (NBR). 

Bambo Jassey was named the 2022 Regional taxpayer of the year for the Lower River Region (LRR). 

Bansang Senior Secondary School was named the 2022 Regional taxpayer of the year for the Central River Region (CRR). 

Malick Jallow was named the 2022 Regional taxpayer of the year for the Upper River Region (URR). 

The award ceremony was graced by the President of the Republic of the Gambia His Excellency Adama Barrow. 

President Barrow handed over all the awards to the winners of the 5th edition of  GRA Taxpayers’ award night.
