UTG Students Visit Gambian Embassy In Bissau

Students of the ‘History of the Gambia up to 1900’ course of the University of the Gambia during their educational tour in Guinea Bissau visited The Gambian embassy.

“On Monday 01/08/2022, About 100 University of The Gambia students from different Departments paid a courtesy call to the Embassy of the Gambia in Bissau,” the embassy confirmed in a statement today. 

The Deputy Head of Mission and the team of the Embassy received the students and their lecturers during the visit, the statement added. 

The students led by their lecturer, Doctor Essa Touray and his assistant, Mr. Baboucarr Mboob visited historical sites such as Kanchunku and Kachaw during their trip in the former Portuguese colony.
