At a National People’s Party (NPP) fundraising event held in Spain, Demba Sabally—Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Security, and the NPP’s First Vice President—told supporters that their main political rivals are currently facing internal divisions and confusion.
“We know our nemesis, our political opponents and nemesis as you know them; they are currently in disarray. They are disillusioned, they are hopeless, they are divided, they are fragmented, and they are confused,” Sabally declared.
He continued that the only plan of their political rival, “as mentioned by their own man,” is to create chaos on the streets.
Minister Sabally contrasted this with the NPP’s vision, asserting that the ruling party stands for peace, tolerance, and unity. He described President Adama Barrow and the NPP as a reflection of The Gambia’s diversity and national identity.
“President Barrow is the face of the Gambia. We are geographically and ethnically diverse, and it is represented in this hall,” he said.
Sabally concluded by reaffirming that the NPP remains the party that President Barrow has built and continues to lead with a message of inclusivity and national cohesion.
