The Gambia Police Force have announced the arrest of 25 people in connection to allegations of burglary, breaking and stealing.
The alleged offences are said to have been committed in the Kanifing Municipality and West Coast Region, the announcement added.
“25 suspects were arrested in connection to allegations of burglary, breaking and stealing, possession of suspected drugs, stealing from a motor vehicle, possession of breaking implements, going armed in public, among others,” they said in a statement on the Poliso Magazine on Wednesday.
The police added that the suspects are being processed for prosecution; while urging members of the public to volunteer to give information about unusual happenings in their communities.
Personnel of the Police Anti Crime Unit (ACU) and Police Intervention Unit (PIU) conducted patrols in the past days leading to the multiple arrests, according to the statement.
