The National People’s Party (NPP) Kombo South Constituency candidate, Momodou Bojang has hit back at his UDP opponent, Kebba K. Barrow.

Recently at a rally in the ongoing campaign by candidates ahead of the parliamentary election, Kebba K. Barrow told the people of Tanji that Momodou Bojang is not ‘educated’ that was why Sanyang ward could not get their D2m from the Brikama Area Council (BAC), while Bojang was their councillor.

“Five years on, I am able to excel from where I am. People that are saying Modou Bojang is not educated, I don’t envy their education. And I think in that National assembly, one Alagie Jawara should brag about education. Because they had all the opportunity to come up with a private member bill but only Alagie Jawara came up with one. Kebba K. Barrow is in Kombo South. What has he done for Kombo South? If they are going around saying, ‘I am not educated’, good! But I achieve more than them, socially to help my people and excel myself,” he responded.

Modou Bojang, the former councillor for Sanyang ward under the United Democratic Party ticket, is the candidate for National People’s Party in the Kombo South constituency, contesting against Kebba K. Barrow of the United Democratic Party, seeking re-election in the 9th April parliamentary election.

Abdoulie Falie Jallow of Gambia Democratic Congress, Malang Sanyang of Gambia Moral Congress, and Bubacarr F.M. Colley, an independent, are the other candidates contesting for the Kombo South constituency seat.
