MOYS Says Kaba’s election as WAFU President will be beneficial to football development in The Gambia

The Ministry of Youth and sports has congratulated Hon Lamin Kaba Bajo on his election as the new president of WAFU . The Ministry in a statement on their official facebook page said ”Mr Bajo’s election to head the sub- regional body will not just usher progress in the region, but will be beneficial to the Gambia’s football development”. The Ministry and it leadership wishes to congratulated Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo, President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) on his election as the President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone A, at the 44th General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in Arusha, Tanzania.

Mr. Bajo replaces Guinean Antonio Souare who has been heading the nine-country Union for the past three years.

The Ministry is of the conviction that Mr. Bajo’s election to head the Sub-regional body will not just usher progress in the region, but will be beneficial to The Gambia’s football development.
