The Ministry of Health, in partnership with key stakeholders, will roll out a nationwide measles-rubella vaccination campaign from October 23 to 28, 2025, aimed at protecting children who missed routine immunizations or did not develop adequate immunity.
The campaign will target children aged 9 to 59 months for the measles-rubella vaccine. In addition, vitamin A supplements will be administered to children aged 6 to 59 months, while deworming tablets will be given to those between 12 and 59 months.
According to the ministry, vaccination teams will be deployed across the country at community “bantabas,” health facilities, day-care centers, schools, markets, border crossings, and other strategic public locations to ensure every family can easily access the services.
The Ministry of Health has called on parents, caregivers, and community members to actively support the campaign, emphasizing its goal of reducing illness and deaths caused by vaccine-preventable diseases among children under five.
For further details or inquiries about the campaign, the public is encouraged to contact the ministry’s toll-free number: 1025.
