Dr. Ishaka Sissoko at the GCCi Trade Fair

Dr. Ishaka Sissoko, Chief Executive Officer of Sissoko Habbatu Sauda Global, made a notable appearance at the GCCI Trade Fair in Bijilo on Saturday, reaffirming his company’s commitment to supporting local businesses and young entrepreneurs in The Gambia.
During his visit, Dr. Sissoko toured various stalls, engaging directly with business owners and entrepreneurs. He listened to their experiences, offered encouragement, and emphasized the importance of their role in national economic growth. His presence attracted a large number of visitors who were eager to interact with him and learn more about the growing impact of his company in the health and wellness sector.
Sissoko Habbatu Sauda Global, a leading producer of natural health products in The Gambia, used the opportunity to strengthen its connection with the public and promote its mission of wellness through traditional remedies. Dr. Sissoko distributed free product samples and held informative discussions on the benefits of herbal medicine.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Sissoko highlighted that his visit was not only about business but also about community upliftment and economic empowerment.
“As a young person, you are supposed to believe in yourself and God. When I started this business, people used to laugh at me and they don’t take me seriously, but with the Help of some friends and my family members, I am where I am today,” he said.
The founder emphasized that platforms like the GCCI Trade Fair are vital for promoting locally made products and giving visibility to homegrown talent. He encouraged young entrepreneurs to remain focused, stay committed to their goals, and find joy in their work, no matter the challenges.
“Whatever you are doing, just be passionate about it and take it seriously. Today I am able to sell here and abroad,” he said.
Babucarr Touray, head of the Trade Fair delegation from Senegal, shared his experiences working with Dr. Ishaka Sissoko, commending his impact on the herbal wellness industry.
Also present at the event was Amadou Chico Cissoko, founder of Pina Gambia, who praised Dr. Sissoko as one of Africa’s most influential figures in natural health.
“This guy is the biggest Farmer in Africa, and he did not have a farm. All his products are natural, If you are a farmer and produce on a large scale, he can buy from you,” he said
