Banjul Mayor Receives Best SDGs Advocate Award

Banjul Mayor and REFELA Africa President, Rohey Malick Lowe has on Friday received the best Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocate award.

She received the prestigious award at the just concluded United Cities of Local Government Africa (UCLG) World Congress in Daejeon in South Korea, for championing the attainment of the SDGs in Banjul.

Asked how she felt receiving the award, Mayor Lowe expressed honour and dedicated the award to women and girls in Africa and in the World At Large.

Mayor Lowe thanked UCLGA- the Secretary General, Mr Elong Massi; UCLG World leadership Emilia Saiz; and UNDP Gambia leadership Aissta De, for their partnership towards the achievement of the localization of The 17 goals.
