At least three Gambian youth have been confirmed dead in the Mediterranean Sea after their boat reportedly got lost for several days.
Njaga Sowe Nana, from Nana village in the Central River Region (CRR); Ousman Sowe from Gunjur and
Musa Gagigo from Pirang in the West Coast Region all lost their lives in Mediterranean Sea on the journey.
The families that spoke to Kerr Fatou confirmed receiving the news of the death of their loved ones Friday night.
According to report by Actionaid, 1.7 million people risked their lives to Europe via the Mediterranean Sea, a journey in which over 13, 000 have either died or gone missing.
